When was the NEXYZ.Group Corporation founded?
The NEXYZ.Group Corporation was originally founded as Japan Electric Communications (Nihon Denki Tsushin) in Osaka, Japan in May 1985. The corporate name changed to Nextel Corporation in January 2000, and to NEXYZ.Corporation in December of that same year. We changed our name to NEXYZ.Group Corporation in April 2016.

We listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in November 2004.

Takami Kondo founded the original company at age 19 with ¥500,000 in capital. Mr. Kondo still serves as NEXYZ.Group CEO and Group Representative. At age 34, Mr. Kondo launched a successful IPO on the NASDAQ Japan exchange (now JASDAQ). At age 37, he became the youngest executive to ever list his company’s shares on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In 2015, consolidated subsidiary Brangista Inc. became the second group company to conduct an IPO. Takami Kondo uses his inherent passion and strategic planning and execution capabilities to continue creating new, imaginative businesses. Based on his own experiences and desire, he founded an organization for business leaders to meet and support each other. This group, known as Passion Leaders, is now Japan’s largest executive networking organization. Takami Kondo regularly talks to students at Japan’s leading universities, including Waseda University, the University of Tokyo, and Hitotsubashi University, inspiring students to live and work with passion. In 2006, Mr. Kondo was awarded the top prize in the Japan Venture Awards by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
